Well back in 2008 when I was looking for a 370 you could pick them up brand new from a dealer for £699 if you shopped around, at that time the list price was £1,120 anyone paying full retail at the time, would have no doubt got the Sun-Canopy included in the deal.
Strange the seller does not have the Sun-Canopy as well, surley after owning it for 5 years you would have added the Sun-Canopy.
Anyway £775 is way over the odds for a five year old used 370, I would say £500 tops, although I have seen used 370's go for as much as £900 on Ebay, so who knows?.
Hi erroutdoors.
I am no detective, but I think it could be one and the same, especialy as the member only just joined UKS on 19th March 2011, which I don't think is a good sign either.
I am the seller of the Biscaya you are all discussing. Yes it is the same one thats on preloved, the difference in price is because of the high ebay fees. The ebay price isnt fixed, people can make me an offer. I sincerly hope people contact me through preloved buy ebay attracts a wider audience.
I bought it last year from a couple in the New Forest, yes it is approx 5 years old but has been used on 5 occasions and the selling price reflects the excellent condition. Who has the right to come on here and put down a tent they havent seen.
Francais, I have read your posts for over a year now and you appear to consider yourself a Biscaya expert yet you knock every Biscaya that decent people attempt to sell. Who made you the oracle on 2nd hand tent prices?
I need to sell this tent for financial reasons, I have a family to support and selling this tent will help that in the short term. The price imo is realistic. Some of the comments on here are not warranted and speculative imo. We bought the tent without the canopy and having used it for our main holiday we didint feel the need for a canopy. Being criticised for selling a tent that people can no longer buy for the prices and references to the RRPs you go on and on about is irrelevant. You dont knock the Bear Lake sellers on here who openly admit they sold the tents for more than they paid new.
I hope that solves the "mystery" and alot of people read these forums without joining and I for one have learnt alot from reading these threads. Yet, now I'm being knocked for joining to sell my tent.
Hi sjp71.
Firstly, welcome to UKS as a new member, Sorry if I offended, as I never meant to, like I mentioned I have seen Biscaya 370's sell for £900 on Ebay, so don't be concerned about my comments, as I am sure you will sell your tent at a good price.
I brought my biscaya 440 for £900 as a buy it now price at the end of last year and I am chuffed to bits with it. I had to get it quickly as I wasn't sure how much it would go for if someone started bidding on it.
You do not get many biscayas on ebay so I am sure you will get a good price, they are usually snapped up quite quickly the last one went for just over £800 I think.
I have a 2010 370 with sun canopy for sale only used for three nights away just haven't got round to putting it on ebay yet..but i will at some point..
Don't forget to leave a review of all tents you've used, for a chance to win fantastic prizes
