We still haven't been camping in our Escala, we cancelled our plans for this week, as the weather in Newent where we were going looks awful. Really not a fan of camping in the rain and wind (not if its forecast for every day anyway). 
Hopefully going to go up to Derbyshire in a couple of weeks time, if the weather improves anyway!!

Lynne - as DK says the Palamos/Escala tents seem to cope very well with the wind and rain - I was very happy and cosy inside listening to the rain! However I do agree that its not the most pleasant camping experience... It does get you back to the basics of life however - food warmth and shelter! Amazing how everything else seems so unimportant in those conditions!

Hi
That is the one thing I do like about it, being cosy inside the tent and listening to the rain. However as we do a lot of walking and have a dog its really hard to get everything dry. I don't mind for the odd day but the forecast was just rain and wind everyday, so chickened out this time.
