I went to camping on tyne at the weekend for a look at this seasons stock, and this year they are selling Outwell tents. Last season it was mainly Kampa & Vango. They had a outwell hawaii reef on display and i was very impressed , loads of room and the added porch made it feel massive, very bright on the inside and that was on a dull afternoon. The ZIG is not as thick as the lakes but still alot thicker than groundsheets on normal polyester tents
Don't forget to leave a review of all tents you've used, for a chance to win fantastic prizes
They have them on display over at camping world. They really standout from the crowd
They do look very nice the only thing I didn't really like was the bathtub ground sheet in the porch. I wasn't keen on it being orange (the ground sheet that is) as well (think it might have been a bit better in black), and it seemed a bit thin. There were loads of people looking at them...maybe not everyone's cuppa, but you sure won't miss them in a field!

The one i seen did not have the porch groundsheet fitted so i cant comment on that. I wont be buying one though , if i had that much money to spend on a tent i would get the Kampa filey classic
We pick dup a brand new Outwell Hawaii for £640 so not a big jump in price for a tent that has the polycotton advantages.
It's a fantastic tent, the groundsheet isn't as thick as the industrial strength rubber of the lakes, but it is better than plastic tents. I can't tell you just how wonderful this tent is - spacious without being the size of a stately home, simple, light, sunny, cosy, cool. One of the most practical designs we've seen. I can never quite understand the porches in the bear and wolf lake as you can't really use them. In the Hawaii you can open up the front and tie it all back or close it off when it rains or your go out. Best of both worlds.
We haven't bothered with the bathtub in the porch - prefer the grass and a little bit of offcut to one side for mucky shoes.
My review hasn't appeared yet - but I did post photos.
