well not really an opinion as i havent tried a monty 6 but i love our filey 6 and especially as we have added the vestibule which proved invaluable in the wind and rain!!!!

we didnt have any problems with ours as there are 4 of us but wouldnt like to sleep 6 in the bedroom pods.

You will also have potentially double the UV life expectancy with the Filey 6 relative to the Monty - given the 100 denier flysheet (the Monty having the standard 75 denier). The flysheet will also be more tear resistant. The quality of the materials throughout are better with the Kampa ultimate tents, as our little Kampa Bude 4 testifies.

I must admit, I can't see why the vestibule isn't built in to the canopy? It must be a lot of extra pfaff and a bit difficult to fit given the height of the Filey, but a sloping wind-shedding front is essential IOHO!

So, you still have the straight front wall or you have to buy the vestibule, not a straight comparison when you have to buy extras.

So it isn't the Monty 6 Vs Filey 6. It's the Monty 6 versus the filey 6 plus the vestibule. That's another £100 on top of the cost, plus the transporting it and putting it up.

Off on a tangent here but ive been looking to see the Kampa Tents on display expecially the Filey Polycotton and cant find a display of them.

Ayone know anywhere they have them on display in the Yokshire/Derbyshire area?

Kampa only deal with smaller retailers with display space and suitable technical knowledge. They go for higher quality smaller scale manufacture so don't deal with the chain outlets...
