I have been putting tents up for years and I've never had any problems until now. We bought this tent last year as ex-display and got a really good deal. However, getting it up and getting it up right are two different things. There are so many variables it is almost getting the better of me. We are trying to put it up as one, bedrooms and bath tub groundsheet attached. The main problem is that there are so many straps to tighten or loosen and straps under the ground sheet that we just cant balance the tent. If you don't have one strap right then it becomes too tight/loose somewhere else and then that effects somewhere else etc etc. I have thought about putting it up without groundsheet attached but then if we don't get the tent right the groundsheet wont attach to the sides.
Apart from throwing it away and starting again can any one offer any help???
many thanks.

Don't forget to leave a review of all tents you've used, for a chance to win fantastic prizes
Make sure all your straps are loose first, set up the tent and get it straight, then put in the bathtub groundsheet and then go round tightening your straps.
I have the utah 6 and I don't think I've altered the straps underneath much at all. But I haven't tried to put the whole thing up as one, that would be a challenge, if nothing else it's a bit cumbersome the 6 man. It is however quite easy to get the tent twisted.
I got some good input on this thread here when I asked for help, does that help? Try a search for utah and a fair few results come back...
Hope that helps
