hi all looking at getting the new kampa studland 8 classic  has anyone had any experience with kammpa tents whats your opinion on them and i really wont to know wht you think of there pollycotton is it good or not have any one had experience with there pollycoton tents thx all

We don't like to put them on until we get them in stock. Which should hopefully be next week as I know a few containers docked on noonday. We have currently the pendine 8 and the minnis 4 but were updating the website this week with those two.

I set there display up last year at the outdoor show for retailers and they are very good quality, did not brake one pole out of all their tents and got complimented by how sturdy and robust they looked

I dont have a polycotton tent but I do have a Kampa Croyde and I cant speak highly enough of it.

Hi i have a polzeath 8 and a monty 12, after putting them up in the garden, i think the polzeath is far better and we are going away for 2 weeks over easter will inform you how it goes,

The quality of the Kampa polycotton mix last year was the same as Outwell's (similiar percentages of cotton and polyester according to retailers contributing to the forum), although the groundsheets on the Kampa tents were a little lighter in weight. Can't say whether this holds for 2011, but Kampa polycotton tents were rated very highly on the forum last year, offering stiff competition to the Outwell polycotton tents (especially given the quality issues that Outwell had last year).

Our polyester Ultimate Kampa tent certainly has the edge over other makes (including Outwells) on the quality of the materials used, eg the flysheet is 100D rather than the standard 75D used by other manufacturers (potentially doubling the resistance of the tent to UV degradation).

We have the Filey 6, have only used it once but we were very happy with it. Found it difficult to put up but it's a huge tent and we're novices. We're actually going to my sister's house with it tomorrow to get some practice in with it! We did have some water gathering along a seam at the bottom of the annexe bit but didn't manage to work out whether it was a leak somewhere or condensation - but I'm inclined to think it was just condensation that had run down and pooled there. Will hopefully have more opportunities to suss that out this year. Otherwise seemed absolutely spot on

We have the Lulworth 6 which we love. Third season now. We initially had problems (one pole snapped and a couple of seams leaked). However, the pole was replaced and we used seam sealer which sorted the leak out.

Just as an addendum to my post, we went for our practice pitch and couldn't believe the difference - it took us about 4 hours first time round to pitch it but on Sunday, it took us just half an hour (although we didn't bother pegging all the guy ropes out but did do the porch and window canopies...). So, I can happily recommend Kampa tents. Did you come to any decision yet?
