There are a few tents that should be avoided, and Rage is one of them. It'll be a complete waste of money honestly, better to get something that'll keep you warm and dry.
We started out camping a few years back with a Rage Loften 6-man tent and thought it was great for 'fair weather' camping. Quite spacious with good height, the only reason we got rid of it was to upgrade to a larger tent with sewn in groundsheet as opposed to the separate fly sheet in Loften.
Not sure if the company are still in business but most poles these days can be replaced quite easily so dont let any little snags put you off getting this tent if you can pick it up cheap!

We had a Rage - not the loften did not pay much for it so it was a good starter tent but would not recommend them:
1. No sewn in groundsheets and the bottom of the tent was a good few inches of the ground.
2. The tent is light grey with white sleeping pods so as soon as the sun shone it was like having a bright light shone in your face so not much good if you want to sleep till after 7.
I saw a Rage tent collapse about 5 minutes after it was pitched, it was raining quite hard and the people who had pitched it went inside to take refuge and the whole thing literally came down on top of them, we heard the poles snap one-by-one!!!!!!
So (IMO) I would avoid at all costs, even if it's cheap.... Money's money at the end of the day and i'm sure it would be better to spend a little bit more and get something that will last and not ruin you holiday on the first outing....
I think it might be prudent to give this one a miss unless its free as there are better tents to spend your money on. We started off with a Rage tent, not the loften, and it was ok as a starter we sold it and its still being used 5 years on In this country they were sold by a company called "Tentastic"

Thanks everyone, I think I`ll give it a miss, it`s on Ebay for local collection at 99p (now I know why), but from the opinions given, someone else can `treat` themselves.
Wise move! Definitely fair weather tents! We also started off with a Rage and luckily our first trip we had mild, sunny weather so it was great. Was another matter entirely when it rained and got windy!
My first tent (only last year) was a Rage Vikna. I thiought I had a bargain (£114) but it turned out to be awful!
No sewn in groundsheet, leaked, zips on sleeping pods broke on first use... absolutely awful!
As soon as I got home I contacted the company and demanded they pick it up and refund my money in full. It took a long time before they contacted me, and I had to send photos as proof (luckily I had the sense to take some while at the camp site) but they did finally pick it up and refund me in full.
Strangely enough, soon after that, that model of Rage tent completely disappeared off ebay! When I bought it, there were loads!
Glad you decided against the Rage tent - you saved yourself a lot of problems!
