We picked up the Filey 6 2009 model last year which we absolutely love. Great tent! But my "nearly" teenage daughter wants her own room! Has anyone got the filey and brought the extra sleeping pod for it. Would be interested how it affects the living area before we look at buying one???

Sorry to disappoint, but the extra sleeping pod was introduced in the 2010 Filey 6 - The 2009 model hasn't got the hanging points for it (at least mine hasn't...)
You may be able to add suitable fixings (clipons perhps?) or how about a pop up tent in the corner?
I'd be interested in hearing what you end up doing, I'm sure I'll be facing the same problem in a year or two!

Oh Dam! I am sure it had the fixings. Am going to have to wait for our next trip to find out now. Yes the pop up tent may be our only option then. Will bear you in mind when we decide what to do.
We put our Filey up on Sunday and looking at where the fixing points were I'd say there really wouldn't be much living space left at all. It seems to take a huge amount of space up - well, it's the whole of the window area to more than half of the door length! However, one thought I did have whilst talking about that very same thing.... I guess if you wanted to use the other pod, you could fix it in at night but then maybe take it down in the day and hide that and the airbed in one of the other bedrooms so that you have the whole living space back? Does seem a bit of a pain admittedly but might be an option if you do have the fixing points.

Kathryn
