Hi all,

I have just purchased a 2010 Kampa Croyde 6 tent (which was a return to Kampa) for a bargain price, and I am now wondering about accessories for it, and the best way to get them.

Firstly, are there any differences between the 2010 and 2011 tents? They both look the same in colouring and dimensions? If so, I assume I would be able to buy 2011 accessories if I need to?

Secondly, I am thinking of purchasing a Footprint for it, and perhaps a carpet too. Any recommendations for where I can get these cheap would be very welcome! I struggle with paying £80 for a tent carpet!

They seem to be quite cheap in Tents4Less, but I have never used them before.
Are they reputable? They have no telephone number on their website.

Many thanks in advance!

According to Kampa - the vestible works, the footprint and carpet will be same as size is same - not sure they have actually changed the tent at all

Hey loftus, thanks for the reply.

Did you hear that from the Horses mouth so to speak then? Useful information, thanks. It's what I thought, and makes it easier to shop around.

If anyone else can confirm, or has any ideas on places to buy and experiences of Tents4Less I would be very grateful!

I assume the Croyde will be the same, certainly the Filey vestibule fits on the previous two models so I would expect the Croyde is going to be the same. As for the carpet, we bought a Hi Gear Corado 6 carpet for our Filey as the one we ordered for it wasn't due to arrive until we were already camping in it - actually it came the first day we were away. Can't remember if that was any cheaper, I think it may have been a bit, but it was a perfect fit, and the colours matched (actually I prefer the Hi-Gear carpet pattern and colour to the Kampa one!). Might be worth having a look to see if you can see a similar sized tent like that - or try somewhere like eBay. I know a lot of people have said they have had carpets a fair bit cheaper on eBay.

Regards,
Kathryn

Thanks for the replies - I have now purchased the 2010 footprint and a 2011 carpet from separate retailers (neither from Tents4Less as they have an issue with accepting payments) so hopefully they fit!

Hi poppy dog that sounds interesting. We also have a Lulworth 6, I sent an email to Kampa to ask if the vestibule would fit but didn't get a reply so assumed it wouldn't fit. Have you tried it on your Lulworth yet? How does it fit on? And what was the cost?

I could only see the vestibule for the Filey/Classic/Studland models on here at £89.99, they had that one at Norwich Camping but the one for the Croyde was priced at £69.99 - have I missed it somewhere on Camping International's website?

Kieron

Cost was £77 Have not tried it on tent yet, but (much to OH's disgust) had it draped around kitchen checking out the fitments.

The tents are EXACTLY the same size and I see no reason why it wont fit. Comes with 11 pegs for the bottom, velcro tubes to attach to the canopy poles and straps to reach back to next pole.

We will probably only use ours when the wind changes direction to provide shelter for cooking and prevent the canopy lifting off!

Just had a look myself and I cannot see it! Think the website has had a makeover too! Try Norwich Camping and Leisure  Hopefully they have them now!
