Hi Andy
Difficult to measure as hard to tell where bends start but measured on the outside of the pole the straight bit
Vermont = 182cm
Montana extension = 188cm
Hope this helps

Does anyone know of the best canopy/extension to get for the front of the Vermont L? and is it a good fit?
Many Thanks
What are you looking for, sun canopy, with walls or fully enclosed?
I say sun canopy but it seems more useful at keeping rain away from the front door, it doesn't seem to give a lot of shade.
Outwell Montana sun canopy with open sides, discontinued available on Ebay.
Outwell Montana Extension with side walls + open front still available new.

I wonder if they changed the width of the bands for 2011 when they added the "go faster stripe".
The Vermont is a great tent but always seems to plat second fiddle to the Montana although having had both I think the Vermont is a nicer tent all round. Weve had ours for 4 years and its withstood gale force winds and torrential rain. If you intend to use Delta pegs I would use them on the rear vent flaps as they are stronger than than the fastenings on the flaps.
