Have been looking for an option for a weekend set up...we have the 4.1 and the BS for overnight set up on the way to our camping site.....however have been thinking this would be fine for a weekend as well...but now think that if the weather is bad for a family of 5 it would be a bit cramped...then I thought of adding the BS full....but then thought about the BS Xl...this would be perfect and we could easily eat in there.....and maybe use as a utility/ day room when we use the wolf lake....
however it is not cheap.....but would probably be worth it...what do you think?

Then again they tried that with the base full and have reintroduced it again this year, probably by popular demand as people were screaming out for them.

Hi Emerald1 - Have you managed to pitch your 4.2xl yet? Just wondering what you thought of it "up" and if, in your opinion, it is much different/better than the old 4.2. Also, do you know if the BS standard will still "link" to the new 4.2xl?
Nope I aint managed yet but a few of the others have as theyve left reviews in the tent review section, wouldnt know about the base twinning as I got rid of all my standard bases due to the lip at the front, thats why I was over the moon they brought out the new flat access ones, I have a kampa day tent to add on to it.

hi well thanks fore the replies...but i think it is just too expensive...will just cope with less space or take the WL7...
will keep an eye on it and see if it drops in price...however I then thought it might not be so stable being so big and also it has no windows, so for that money probably a no
