i have the tigris 600, fab tent so easy to put up and for me best bit is that the under the door the ground sheet can lay flat or be clipped up, we have it pegged down unless its raining then its pegged up to stop rain coming in..

Everything has been said before, but since nobody ever listens we have to keep going back and saying it all over again and again and again
Thanks for the replies. The Vango and the Lichfield were the same price - so we asked the shop. They recommended the Lichfield - we took a risk and bought it.
Think we made the right decision - the quality is fine - one of the seams has been stitched several times - looks as though it was done wrong at the first attempt - seems to be the only minor quality problem.
Took me and the missus 30 mins to put the tent up - reckon we'll be able to reduce that time with a bit of practice. This is a big plus for me.
It's a genuine 6 berth tent - we felt that the Vango was only really a 5 berth (the 3rd bedroom felt a bit tight).
It rained quite heavily on the second night - and the tent performed well. There was a small pool of water under one of the bedrooms - but I think that this was condensation after being so very cold on the first night.
The biggest disadvantage that I can think of is that the pack size is about 80 x 50 x 50 cm. It squashes to a bit less than this - but it was a bit of a suprise to us.
So overall, we're pretty pleased with the tent, I'm sure the Vango would have been fine as well, but I reckon we made the right choice.

Both Vango and Lichfield are owned by the same company AMG and the technologies are very similar (if not the same). AMG has obviously decided to just put the tied arch designs under Lichfield this year to give it a brand identity. The spec is very high and the steel poles will certainly add stability - so a good choice IMHO.
------------- Love our set-up and need no more tents or gear, so trying to stop looking!
