The updated decathlon website has put the tents back as they were before.
Meanwhile... The base XL that I ordered, to be on the , is on it's way.

Without being nosey, may I ask what sort of festivals you guys go to?
Ive never been to any and im gleaning info from people as I want to attend some next year with my lad. Just want to try new things, midlife crisis I think!

Shhh.. Last time I posted a cunning plan, on another website, one of the organisers spotted it.
My children do Glastonbury and their children love it but it is huge! Most of the Dorset festivals seem to be laid back and child friendly. It depends what your interests are and if it is music you are going for, what your tastes are.

To be honest sonja, any child friendly festival would be ok by me. Im not even excluding non music ones, arts and craft fairs/ events etc.
Anyway...
The Tent arrived today!
Just threw it up in the garden for a quick look. The guys arent tied one, but thats not a problem.
Only tiny issue is a 2mm long nick in the fabric at the bottom of the tent where you enter. A non issue as that part of the tent will see some wear and tear anyway. Its in that "loop" that is pegged down at the very bottom/front of the tent. The bit you tend to trip over in small popups!lol
There is also a tiny bit of dirt on the tent... yet the guys werent fitted and the tent was packed "in that way" that only a factory packed tent ever is!lol So perhaps the dirt got on it at the factory, who knows? And we are talking about a TINY smear of dirt... most people wouldn't even have noticed it.
So, all in all really chuffed and looking forward to trying her out in Wales perhaps near Christmas.
Will put a pic up later.

i would've!
i always look for perfection when stuff is new :) I don't know what the conditions are like where the tents are made but as they don't have an ethical credentials i expect they are a bit grubby and possibly hazardous to tents.
The festival that is most highly spoken of is The Larmer Tree. I haven't been myself but i would put it top of my list of things i would like to do.

My children take their children out of school for a couple of days for glastonbury.
the other family friendly festival is Beautiful Days, if you are a Levellers fan.
Towersey Village and Greenbelt were in the school holidays this year. I went to Towersey for the evening and the atmosphere was very good.. Plus it had flush toilets!

and I dont know about your childs school but mine aren't doing lessons by this point in the term, this is one of the couple of time I wouldn't worry about taking the kids out, the other is the last few days before christmas.
