thanks for your help kampa reps. Looks like we have a deal, but instead of the tenby 8, do you think the tenby 10 is just as good. It has an Extra bedroom.

hi,the outwell tunnel tents are fantastic we have a outwell montana 6 but they do make a variation of sizes, good quality and really easy to put up,perhaps the florida 8? we got our tent second hand, hope this helps, regards carole
Big tent, big pitch size, more difficult to put up
Personally I much prefer the Studland
The choice is yours

It's not just that I'm trying to get you spend more money and, therefore, earn us more commission (by the way, the terms of our contract with KAMPA is that you pay the commssion direct to us, 5% on top of purchase price ) but I would also suggest the Studland.
I'm thinking partly of the cooking area. You said you want to cook un der the canopy but the Tenby's cooking area is only 3m wide; that's not much room and it will restrict access in and out of the tent. You could get the canopy extension but the entrance will still be narrow and then you will have a very irregular tent shape that you may find difficult fitting on some campsites. Plus, if strong wind were forecast you may have to take down the canopy anyway.
The Studland provides 4.45m of cover and access to the tent would not be restricted. Further, if you do also get the vestibule then the tapered, treamlined shape it provides when closed means that you would probably not have have to take it down in windy conditions.

Last year when I was thinking of changing our Vermont the Studland was the only tent I found and I looked at lots of tents, that I would change it for, it is a really really nice tent. OH put her foot down and we ended up keeping the Vermont and buying a smaller tent for weekends

I tell you what, arsenaldes, such is the burden of responsibility of recommending this tent that I'm desparate that they like it!!
Formerscout
Should we just take the commision and run
I think they will like it, we were that close to buying one last year but the Vermont still has plenty of life left in it

Ah nice one! Great news and all can breathe easy again!!
Here's to many more camping trips in your new, fabulous family tent! Don't you just love this website
------------- It always rains on tents. Rainstorms will travel thousands of miles, against prevailing winds for the opportunity to rain on a tent.
Great. I am pleased that you like it. Once you've camped in in properly and tested it out do write up a review here and let everyone else know how good it is.
People are missing the point. You are looking for a tent with 4 beds the only tent that I would recommend is the gelert zenith 8 man. Not made now , but could still get a great 2010 tent. Totally massive , with 4 big bedrooms. Have had two off these tents now and can say with hand on heart, these are the best. Stand up to anything. You won't be disappointed . Tunnel tents are fine(I own 2 amazon 600, Zanzibar 600) but not good if more than 3 people sharing. Go and look at these tunnel tents and think of all your family in it ?????!
