Hi all - could do with any info (good or bad) on the above tent as I can't seem to find many reviews on it. We've just had a very bad experience with a Coleman we bought in the sales last year - it's now gone back to the store for a refund with incomplete stitching, damaged zip and other missing bits and pieces. We need a replacement quick snap and the Midas is about the size/layout we're after - can anyone with experience with this tent of Vango in general please shout up as I don't much fancy being burned again!

Its a pretty new tent which is probably the reason for lack of reviews. Unfortunately there are "dud" tents that slip through quality control on all brands of tent and Coleman especially have a few bad reviews recently on one particular model.

Hope someone has one and can tell you how good they are

probably off to look at some tents tommorrow down in the Bedford Go Outdoors - anyone know of any other places with tents on display in the locale?

The Midas is fine but for not alot more you can get the Vango Tigris 800 which has a good living area, the midas 800 living area isnt that great.

Agree with Gary, just had a look at the Midas and it is smaller than the Tigris 800.  Shop around and you will get a Tigris 800 for less, there are still lots of 2010 800's at very reasonable prices.

Been out to Go Outdoors and decided on the Maritsa 500 - bit more space as we tend to go for full weeks as well as the odd weekend. Out of stock though so will have to order online!
