yes and no if on a 16amp then you can use a normal kettle and toster on 10amp again aslong as not a kettle of more than 2300watts will be fine but on a 6amp normal kettles will be to high a wattage.
6amp=1380watts
10amp=2300watts
16amp=3680watts
the other limit may be your hookup as alot are only 10amp

As mentioned, on a 16A Supply, you can use them, just not together of course..
FYI,
Most 'value' toasters consume well under 1KW (< 4Amps)..
But most kettles, even cheap ones seem to be 2KW+ (> 8Amps).
We found a 1KW Travel Kettle for under £10, that means we can have the toaster/kettle and hobs on at the same time and still stay under 16A...
Maplins sell an extension lead with Power Meter built in, it can tell you instantly what Amps/Watts your devices are using, we find it a godsend, we've measured all our kit, the kettle was the only thing we needed to really get a specific low power one. It's great when camping to 'remind' you how much you are using, so I always check before switching on the larger appliances.
