Hi, Does anyone know if there is a canopy that fits the Vango Icarus 400, I can only seem to see them for the Vango Icarus 500 plus? Thanks for any help. Alison x

Vango don't do one for the 400, presumably as it's not full standing height. I don't know of anything else that would fit but you may be able to do something with the Adventure Tarp and a windbreak.

Everything has been said before, but since nobody ever listens we have to keep going back and saying it all over again and again and again
I also have the adventure tarp..not tried it yet, but I'm away camping this weekend, and then back for 4 days and then off again for a week, so I'm hoping to give it a go. I haven't even had it out of the bag yet, so I've got no idea how to fix it but I'm sure I'll manage.
It's just to give me a bit of outside cooking space if it's slightly raining really

We use the Vango Adventure Tarp with all our tents - from our low Coleman dome to the tall Kampa Bude 4 and even on the front of our 445cm wide Vango Columbia 600.
Just have a longer set of guyropes with a loop ready tied in the top of each (in addition to the shorter ones supplied) and thread the appropriate one through the guying point and back through itself to secure and combine with the tent's own porch poles for height. Takes only a couple of minutes to put up and take down. Can even be used as a standalone shelter with an extra porch/king pole or 2. To fit to the tent, sit the rear elasticated edge behind the front pole and guy backwards and outwards down the side of the tent and tension (don't just go outwards). Then do the central front pole and guys and then do the 2 front edges. If you want to add an extra pole at one of the fabric guying points, just trap the tip of the king/porch pole in the guyrope loop you made when you secured the guyrope to the guying point. Its a breeze to use.

I was a little disappointed at the adventure tarp..seems very small and doesn't give much of a porch area.
I looped the elasticated section over the front pole and the guy ropes only just reach the ground. the result seemed to be that a small gust of wind managed to pull the elasticated section off the tent and the whole thing fell to the ground.
maybe it was me being useless and never having seen one before but it would be nice if there was an extra clip or two to secure the tarp more than just at the corners.

As it is sold for low level tents, for taller tents you may need an extra set of longer guys for all bar the centre front guying point. Just put a loop ready in the top of each guy and attach the right length as needed. To stop it popping off, peg the rear guys with the roof elastic tensioned and the guys diagonally back along the side of the tent (the tension of the elastic and the diagonal guying of the rear of the tarp stops it popping off). The elastic allows expansion if the wind gets underneath it, but if it is too loose or not held back enough it will pop off. Someone on here uses the clips designed for market stalls with a protective bit of fabric underneath to clip the tarp to the front pole.
If you want a bigger tarp - I think quechua do one a bit longer and square. No elasticated edge. If tarps are too big they just become giant sails so it is a balance.
If it is a higher tent, Vango's standard sun canopy (which is still available on eBay) can be quite flexible. We sometimes use one I won in a competition with our Bude 4 (which is the only tent of ours we can use it with. The tarp is far more flexible). It is shorter in length than the tarp, but has sides and the extension wings can be directed inwards to give shelter for a smaller stove with more front on weather. It is also kept on by the elastic rear edge and backward angled guying.
