Are they any good in rough wet weather...i know Outwell are behind them but will they be any good for wild camping....nice styles and cheap, but do you only get what you pay for???

I think the word "cheap" answers your own question not a brand that is widely recommended. There are still some good deals around on decent 2010

Everything has been said before, but since nobody ever listens we have to keep going back and saying it all over again and again and again
Our first tent was an Easycamp Milano 500. Hubbie bought it because I wasn't sure about camping (hard to believe now!),didn't want to spend a lot and it was on special at a local store. It got me hooked on camping and stood up to some awful weather including being nearly flattened in storms in Cornwall. It had it's faults but I think for a first/try it tent, it was a lot better than the very cheap ones I have seen.
My sister has an Easycamp Topeka, which is a big big big family tent. I thought it was about the same standard as my Vango, I wouldn't have a problem with buying one, in fact I have the Easycamp electric coolbox which looks exactly like the Outwell one only in a different colour.

Thanks for the replies......i only go wild camping 2 or 3 times a year so i dont want to shell out 2 or £300 quid....have been looking at the vango halo 9(around £100) but the easy camp 200 plus star at &60 took my eye...great porch on it compared to the Halo ! (waterproof....well )
We have an Easycamp Rome 4. Its quite old and not available any more, but it is a fantastic tent. It is a small dome style and is the most sturdy and stable tent I have ever come across. It stood up to the most amazing winds and rain on a cliff top in Cornwall. We were camping in a friends field, the other tents had to be taken down, they were being blown sideways, but the little Easycamp stayed firmly put. We don't really use it any more, but I can't bear to part with it, its like a faithful friend !!

I have a licata 400 tent too Helen. I bought it after the recommendation from this fab forum. I shall be using it this Tuesday for the first time and I hear we are going to have some rough weather (unlike this weekend :-( ) Its nice to know that your tent was on it's best behaviour, hope mine does the same! :-)
