I have been looking for a polycotton weekend tent for a family of 4.
We currently have a Cabanon Biscaya 370 in cotton which is brilliant but takes quite a long time for my husband to pitch, whilst I entertain two small children and a dog!We want to be able to go camping for the weekend on a friday night straight from work so thought we would get a smaller tent to add to our collection. We feel that after after the luxury of cotton we would be disappointed with a polyester one so thought polycotton might be a happy medium.
Any suggestions. Looked at the Vango Carrera 400 and the Vango Aruba 400. Anyone got any experience with either of these. They seem to meet our needs.
Thanks.

bell tent? you can pitch it in 10 minutes.
i have a polycotton vango peace tepee and it's more polyester than cotton, not as nice as outwell's polycotton or plain cotton canvas.
------------- the orchard in may,
rosewall in july
blackberry wood in august
Vango's polycotton has a much lower % of cotton than the Outwell and Kampa polycottons so less breathable. Have you seen Kampa's Frinton 4 Classic tent, which is their smallest polycotton?
Gelert are also doing a number of their smaller tents in polycotton this year (just coming on to the market I believe). Don't know what the polyester, cotton mix is with these.
------------- Love our set-up and need no more tents or gear, so trying to stop looking!
Also take a look at Hypercamp Palamos 6 from Obelink priced at 499 euro, easy to pitch pyrimid tent. I have the smaller Rosas (famiy of 2) and its what we use as a weekender and we have the Wolf Lake 5 for longer trips. Good luck with the search.

i don't believe a weekend polycotton tent exists. We use a quencha xxl for the 5 of us as a good weather 1-2 night tent, nevada m as a week to two weeks and when i really am pushed a BL6 for two weeks minimum. The last time i used the BL it took over an hour to put up and it was hot and was fed up. Since we got the Nevada m it takes about 15 minutes and we enjoy our holidays more, so may end up selling BL6.
