we have narrowed our choices down to 4 tents please help us decide between

vango monte verde 900
kampa studland
kampa tenby 10
gelert meridian 10 with the porch

all have pros and cons for us meridian is best value for the amount of space but is slightly worse in terms of quality, vango has all the features we want but is more money , the 2 kampas are great quality but the tenby is big - possible problems getting pitches ?

i think we are leaning more towards the vango but we would value any input/opinions

Thats an easy one to answer it has to be the Kampa Studland every time. We looked at buying one last year, super tent, good quality, easy to put up, metal poles and not too big

yes we really like the studland the only thing putting us off it a bit is the fact that if we had the cooking stuff in the canopy bit at the front we would have to bring it all in at night / everytime you leave tent to zip it away where as the vango you can shut the front bit (hope that makes sense )so dont have to drag everything inside the main tent, ofc we could buy the vestibule bit but this means spending an extra £100 and atm the studland is at the very top end of our budget so it would have to be a purchase made at a later date.

Hiyas we have our table/kitchen stand cooking equipment in an open ended fitted porch & do not bother to bring it ' indoors' each night or when we are away from the tent, just left it out. Ours does not have any parts that would persih if the weather was so bad ....but i think most people leave thier cooking equipment this way ??. Gonna have hundreds say ' oh no we don't ' lol. There is a photo in my profile.

Madz.

We often leave our camping gas cooker outside, although i wouldnt leave my cobb outside unattended, maybe that says i love one more than the other.

I would go with your first choice you can always use a tallish windbreak at the front untill you can afford the extra bit.
