I know there hundreds of posts on here already about tent carpets but I can't find anything that helps. I am looking for a carpet for my Cabanon Guadeloupe (after a very cold spell camping in April). I ideally want one that covers the whole of the inside i.e. in both the living and sleeping areas (about 380x305cm). I have seen the cheap Royal ones that were pointed out in a link here a few days ago but dimensions of the carpets are hard to find. Does anyone already have a carpet in their Guadeloupe? What do you use? Any ideas? I think I want to avoid picnic blankets if possible - just more edges for me to trip over!
Thanks
Dibsy

I'm going to be trying a Outwell Missouri River carpet when my Guadeloupe arrives tomorrow. It won't cover the whole area, so not much use to you, but if you do find one to cover the lot please post which one. Good luck
on the subject of carpets, Val. What do you use outside your Barbados? Thinking of getting a 3m x 2m bit of green breathable groundsheet for next weeks trip. We've got some of those black interlocking mats (8 I think) which will use to link Barbados to kitchen tent.

I think they are shaped so not sure how they'd fit. There would be a gap at each side. I've ordered a couple for another tent so could let you know as soon as they arrive.

Haven't had the time to try them in the tent yet - they were only delivered yesterday - but did get them out of the packaging and they look like they'll be a good fit. They're 260ish cms wide (so only a small gap of 20cms to the edge of the tent each side, and the gap would be right under the "eves" so not somewhere that really matters!). They're 210ish cms long with an additional small 'roof' shaped bit after this that extends one end another 75cms or so and looks like it'll fit pretty well into the 'shaped' bottom end of the tent.
So, it looks like one carpet would nicely fit out the sleeping bit of the guadeloupe (up to the dividing curtain), and I have bought two so have the opportunity to lay another one in the living area by the door (running under the other carpet, if that makes sense) to carpet the whole tent should I wish.
Apologies that I haven't had time to verify this in the tent for real but the Royal tent carpet bargains might not be around for long so hope this is of some use. For £20 I think they're a bargain and am really pleased with the purchase.
We've got a Wynnster Marseilles 9 Tent Carpet in our Guadeloupe. It's 320cm x 290cm and covers the majority of the space. With the aluminium backing it's lovely and warm underfoot. It doesn't look wrong either, ours is dark grey and cream woven check material.

Would you please let me know how/where you got the door panel made for your Guadeloupe? And, what kind of cost did it work out at, if you don't mind me asking?

Hi phoebephoenix, Sorry to take so long to reply,it's only by chance I spotted your message. We designed and made the door panel ourselves. We got the material and guy ropes from Cabanon through Obi camping where we bought our tent then sourced the zips and tape through the internet. The material costs were just under £100. Kind regards, Jill
