As most places seem to be selling it as a Montana/Montana Lake carpet one might presume so

Montana lake living area is longer than bog-standard Monty so you'd probably have a gap lengthways putting a bog-standard Monty carpet in a Montana Lake. 

Width ways, they measure the same.

If I recall correctly that's what I was told too when phoning around, there is about a foot (in old money) difference between them. Having said that, I think the carpet is sold for both, I might be wrong though.

Yes and No - the Montana Lake has a larger internal footprint than the Montana 6....but to date there is not a specific carpet for the 'Lake'...

Correction - Outwell have confirmed that they do make a carpet specifically for the Montana Lake, and that they have a few left in stock. Apparently, dealers need to get in touch directly if interested...

I love Outwell tents, but their attention to detail on their marketing is pretty poor.
