We've spent the last 2 weekends looking at various tents in the flesh and after initially falling in love with the Outwell Maryland XL a while back, have been looking for a tent more within our budget.

There don't appear to be any reviews on here for the Horizon 10 although the Horizon 8 has fab reviews.  Having previously looked at the Maritsa 700 in blue and hated it (too dark and clostrophobic), we've now seen one in green and rather like it

I guess it's better to have steel poles than fibreglass, so the Maritsa would win on that front, plus the fact that we would need to get an end porch for the Horizon 10.

Any advice please? 

If I'd gone with my instinct a month or so ago, I'd have blown the budget and got the Maryland XL!!!  I'm waking up in the night thinking about 'this' tent and 'that' tent! lol  Will be glad when we finally make a decision, although as you've said Gareth, I think I've already made it.

Yay - I've done it Ordered a Maritsa 700 with footprint and carpet....thank goodness the search is over....what a relief!  They're not due in until the middle of June so I've go to be patient and wait now.

 we agree the green is so much nicer, all blue tents seem claustraphobic to us.

Couldn't agree more Shirleys.....why is blue so popular for tents?  And that Outwell orange is terrible!
