Hi
Was hoping I could get some advice please. We are looking to get a new or second hand tent. Last year we bought a 2nd hand tent, I cant remember the make - I have ried to blank it out, but it was like a tunnel tent that had sleeping compartments at boths ends and the door was in the middle.
It was the worst tent ever, we had a week of pure rain and the tent leaked so much that at one point i was sleeping in a puddle of water. It was also terrible to put up and found it very difficult to get taught. So have decided to get a better one (hopefully).
There is only 3 of us (2 adults and a 6yr old) but we do like space. I have seen some tents that I like the look of where the rooms are one end and then there is living area with a porch at the front, meaning wet and rainy days you can sit inside and still look out. I have seen a Royal Bordeaux 6 ZG - which appeals to me as there is an additional side bit where you can put luggage etc, but some of the reviews say it leaks - and I have had enough of sleeping in puddles. My o/h has seen a Skandika Saturn 8, which looks quite big, but very flimsy, also a Vango Veil 700 which looks quite nice.
Sorry for the rambling, but I want to make sure that we get the best tent we can afford - looking at spending no more than £350 really (can be 2nd hand). Anyone have any views of the above, or any others which may be good. ?
Thanks for your advice :-)
