Hello all, first post on here so sorry if this has all been covered. We are a family of 4 (2 adults, 4 year old and 7 month baby), and trying to decide between a Montana 6 and Glendale 5. We were heading for the Montana but a bit put off by size for getting in the boot, particularly given the apparent need for an extension for somewhere to leave wet/cooking gear etc. But, with the Glendale, a bit unsure about the non steel poles, having a narrower second bedroom, and sense it might be very light to sleep in! Anyone know if there is much difference in terms of pitching time? We really need the tent to work for weekends away and longer trips to France etc.
Sorry if this is a bit of a rambling set of questions - any help very welcome on the above dilemmas, or any thoughts that might help us! Thanks

Welcome to the forum 1st of all.

I thought The Glendale 5 does have steel poles, the bedrooms also have a zip divider so you can open it into 1 huge bedroom, but the living area is nowhere near as big as the montana6 which will be handy in rainy conditions, you do get a rain porch with the Monty and there are more options to expand it.

Hi and welcome

Out of the 2 I would go for the Montana every time. More room in the bedrooms as well as the living area although neither are totally ideal if its for the South of France as most people would recommend a polycotton tent

Before you decide why not have a look at the Kampa website

Wow - thanks both for the quick replies. That's really helpful. Which model would you recommend from Kampa and why? Thanks again

Lol, I know exactly how you feel, I asked a similar question yesterday and I now have a list as long as yer arm!!!

I was hoping to purchase a tent on Saturday at the go outdoors by me, theres 20% off this weekend, I have no hope of that now!!

I may be ready by the time the 2012 range comes out
