I am in the process of selling my Columbia 600 and looking at getting a new one. The only problem i have, is that i really cannot decide which tent. It is between the Vango Icarus 600 with a 3000 HH which i would be getting the porch with as well and the Khyam Faro 5 which has a 5000HH again i would be getting the porch with.
Your probably wondering I am down sizing from such a good tent???? While the columbia is a fab tent, it isn't really for weekends away and also I am not a keen lover of metal poled tents i do really prefer the fibreglass poles. Also I want a porch area so if a down pour the inside of the ruddy tent doesn't get wet through. i know you can with great difficulty get a canopy for the columbia however, this then makes the tent even bigger for the pitches available. Fussy you ask? Yes Iam........ha ha ha ha
Can anyone point me in the right direction..........
many Thanks

The outwell nevada is a popular choice, depends how many of you there are and your budget really,I have no experience of the two you have mentioned so can't help with that decision, sorry
------------- March- Padstow
April- Forest Glade
June-Grizedale
July-Jedburgh
and lots more besides
My vote also goes to the Outwell Nevada, we had an Icarus before our Nevada and to be honest we think the Nevada is much nicer and was worth paying extra for

Everything has been said before, but since nobody ever listens we have to keep going back and saying it all over again and again and again
Thank you all for you responses. We did order the Khyam Faro 5 and canopy and footprint carpet. When put the tent up what a mess, there were holes, the stitching for the groundsheet was stitched half way up the tent wall, stitched not done properly on the pole sleeves. Returned back and we received another. This was returned back due the zip for the canopy half hanging off and again 2 holes in the tent wall. I have never purchased a Khyam tent before and wont be doing again. We have decided to go for the Vango Icarus 500 now, on order so fingers crossed this tent should be fine!!!!! Thanks again
