hi everyone, to put plain and simply, i am looking at buying one of these tents and was wondering which is the better tent! i know its a close run thing but i am after ease of erecting and putting away with enough room for all of us and the dog!i cant think of anything else that would fit the bill like these tents but opinions are welcome

ive sold 3 studland 8's this week alone and seem to be very popular in our showroom at the minute.
Honestly not had any problems with them yet and finally just had all the accessories in for it too.
Now thats a close run thing. We have a Vermont and looked at the Studland as a replacement last year as its a really nice tent but in the end kept the Vermont as among other things, we prefer the enclosed front rather than the Studlands open canopy. Dont think you will go far wrong whichever one you choose though

Everything has been said before, but since nobody ever listens we have to keep going back and saying it all over again and again and again
Personally I prefer the Vermont XL but as said they are very close, I think it will be more of a personal choice thing as quality wise etc theres not nothing between them.
For me Its the Vermont as the end can be closed up rather than have to get an additional vestibule also the blue thing doesnt work for me, I just dont like blue tents.
looking at the Kampa the Studland Classic looks really nice in the brownish colour.

Owning the Vermont XL, I'm obviously going to say that this is my preference. But, when choosing this, the Studland was a close second. I loved the huge windows and airiness that they helped create.
In the end, it was the front end canopy/door that sold me on the Vermont XL.
Ease of erecting? I can't comment on the Studland, but the Vermont gets easier every time.

We have the polzeath 8 (2010 version of studland 8 classic) and are really pleased with it. Have managed to pitch/take down ok and love the windows that allow us to keep on our littlies when they are outside. Plenty of room for us as a family of 6 and can't recommend enough.

Just to let everyone know, I plumped for a Maritsa 700 which had faulty colour coding on poles so I have ordered a Vermont xl with carpet and footprint £819 I woould of liked either this or the Kampa but this deal seemed to good to let pass!
Both exceptionally good tents. In my opinion the Vermont has it based on experience and longevity of the brand, but the Studland is definietly one of the most popular Kampa tents at the moment and Kampa are making a big splash on the manufacturer scene this year due to a commitment to quality
i also like both of these tents and was torn between them, then went to a tent display where they had the Kampa Tenby 10 pitched and i thought that was fantastic! so now it's a choice of 3: Kampa Tenby 8, Outwell Vermont xl or Kampa Studland 8.
for the record there are only four of us we we like our space and living area free from clutter so use the other bedrooms as storage.

Just go out and enjoy now. Have a good summer!
(Magpiesnest: Yes, there's only 4 of us too. I was thinking worst case scenario of a solid days rain that I didn't want to be too cramped. No worries about that with the Vermont XL. Regularly have at least 6 of us inside of an evening if too cold - record is 11 with no problem.)
