Glad I went for the Guadeloupe now instead of an Infinity 400. It's a shame really because I love the concept. I really hope Vango persue it and get the quality issues sorted.

Someones dropped a clanger here and it could damage Vango's reputation. They need to be on the ball in sorting issues and making sure the disappointed customers are treated correctly.

Maybe the 12 years development consisted of 6 months product development and 11.5 years thinking of an obscure patent to stop people making a similar product after Vango reinvented it.

2 reasons why I didn't go for this tent. 1st is the fact it is brand new and it was obvious that all the people buying it would be Guinea pigs and would be paying Vango to test it for them. 2nd for me the tent isn't wide enough. My Ontario 8 is nearly 1 metre wider than the 800. Maybe in a couple of years when the problems are ironed out and if they do a slightly bigger tent then i'll go for it :-)

we tested ours against the elements on sunday & it leaked, took it back to the shop today and they will send it to Vango for testing, ave the pictures though so lets hope they don't pull a fast one..

Even though some forums posts mentioned the leaking we thought it was a small minority and went ahead and purchased one, how wrong were we after using it once it leaked, We got a refund yesterday for our Vango airbeam 800 again it wasn't the beams it was the actual tent that was leaking around the windows toggles especially and at the back by the bedrooms, really sad to return our tent but think we made a good decision, we purchased our tent from Yeomans who refunded us with no problem. Hopefully they will improve this tent in the near future, because its a great concept overall. We are sticking to our Wolf Lake 7 tent very reliable, never leaks. My advice is if you are thinking of purchasing one is to wait until the next version otherwise you will most likely have to go about returning it.
