Hi - anyone have one of these or have any opinion of them?
http://www.lidl.co.uk/cps/rde/xchg/lidl_uk/hs.xsl/index_21727.htm
In case the link doesn't work, it's the Lidl tent on sale from Thursday.
Thanks,
Trev

Lidl stuff is usually reasonable but don't expect it to be reassuring in bad weather, it's going to bounce around in the wind but shouldn't fall down if its pegged properly. Expect the pegs to be pretty rubbish.

Thanks for the replies. Think I'll give it a miss, rather have something that has decent reviews. Lot of Lidl/Aldi stuff is quite good though.
Cheers,

My friend has this tent (bought it last year) and it withstood some horrnedous weather last summer - strong winds and torrential rain - without any mishaps.
Yes it is a cheap tent but for the money it is well made, spacious, good HH and will last a few seasons until she can afford to upgrade.
The lack of SIG suited her as she camps with her dogs so it was easy to keep the groundsheet clean.
It took the 2 of us about 30 minutes to pitch but we didn't get a chance for a trial run so it was a bit of a baptism by fire so i think we did pretty well!!

Lidl stuff is usually very good quality and I'd imagine the tent will be too. Bear in mind that the gear they put their own label on comes from the major manufacturers most of the time. It looks a bit like a Gelert tent to me, i cant quite remember which one though. I've never had a single bit of camping gear from Lidl that's ever let us down. We bought 2 of the self inflating pillows and one of the picnic rugs yesterday and im delighted at both the price and the quality. Usually those who have a low opinion of Aldi/Lidl are the ones that havent ever shopped there. You dont know what you are missing.

Yep, Lidl (and Aldi) stuff is generally good. Ive bought camping/ outdoorsy type items from both over the years and its all been very good for the money. Cant vouch for the tent itself however.
------------- (Quechua popup addict!)
Planned for next year, hopefully!
Summer Solstice wild camp.
Chilled in a Field, July.
Crantock, August. Fouth year with the fantastic Quechua Base Seconds 4.2!
..... and the odd night wild camping in my Argos 1 man tent...
