as much as I love our Oakland xl, The M hasn't got the option to expand later on with extensions etc. From what I recall the Artemis is bigger but then again its a 4 birth.
Both are good tents, I would try to see them both in the flesh before deciding.
The 2010 is not much different from the 2011 other than the new stabiliser system and illuminous piping.
A lot depends on your requirements, price, room wanted, people to sleep etc.You can pick up Oakland M's around £150ish same as artemis, I thing the Artemis is no longer made by Vango but maybe wrong.
Have you considered geting a used one, Lots are only used once and end up on ebay,
