Hello everyone, this question may have been asked but tried searching and found nothing . This is my first post and very new to camping but reading alot of the posts here gives me a very nice feeling of how people are willing to help each other. Ok I have a Nevada M with front extension which we pitched for the first time in the garden last weekend all looked good with the tent pegged out but wasn't sure what to do with the front guy ropes of the tent once we put the extension on, they seemed to be in the way, am i ment to move them to the inside of the extension? or am I missing something really simple. Also I have loops on the SIG are they pegged separate to the main tent pegging points or do I peg them both together. Hope these make sense and a big thank you in advance for any help. Carl
Don't forget to leave a review of all tents you've used, for a chance to win fantastic prizes
We have an original Nevada M plus later produced front extension.
When we pitch with the extension I just don't use the middle guy rope at the front - the one above the door - as that does get in the way. The others I tend to peg as far to the edges of the extension (inside) as possible. From memory that's two on each side - using just one peg each side - if that makes sense! There are some pics on the review page, although not ours hopefully give you the idea. Ignore the one that shows no guy ropes used - they must be mad
Not quite sure what you mean by loops on the SIG? Probably the design has changed over the years, However my advice is to just peg everything! That way the tent will stand some pretty bad weather. We've used ours in gales force winds no problem.
Are you refering to the loops on the ring and pin at the bottom of the tent poles or the webbing straps at the front and back of the tent
------------- Experience enables you to recognize a mistake when you make it again.
Everything has been said before, but since nobody ever listens we have to keep going back and saying it all over again and again and again
Hi and thank you for your help and replies, the guy line with the extension makes sense to me now, as for the loops on the SIG they seem to line up with the main webbed pegging points of the tent and I was able to hook them over the same pegs but wondering if they should actually be pegged separate? they are more of an elasticated loop further under the tent actually on the SIG.
Once again many thanks for taking the time to help.
