I posted this a week or so again but just realised I posted in the trailer tent forum!

I'm in Tyne and Wear and wonder where I can see tents up?  We've been to Go Outdoors but they didn't have many Outwells.

Hi jlp76.

           Unfortunatley you need to travel, to get to see some good tent displays, most places only have "Polyester" tents on display, but firms like Don Valley at Doncaster, and Caseys at Chester, have, "PolyCotton" and "Cotton" canvas tents on show.

Also Karsten tents, have various displays around the UK, well worth a visit if you can get to one.

last year there were a few camping events on around the north east but I haven't seen anything this year.

Dobbies in Ponteland normally have a camping weekend at some point

Yeomans have a camping exhibition in York 21/07-10/08 and Ripley Castle 13/08 -04/09 if you can wait. I went to one in Derby last week end. They had all the tents in their catalogue on display, which includes lots of Outwell tents (including poly-cotton).
