Finally got the nod today for refund of the airbeam, loved the concept of the tent but not the paddling pool effect!!
We've decided to go for a vango marista 700 as we liked the idea of the porch for drying the dogs before entering the main area of the tent, the kids not sure about the rooms being in one line, as they always liked the pods at opposite ends but it is only for sleeping!
I did like the Kampas as well but the porch did it for us on the marista, fingers crossed all good with this one, as the old tent is wrecked and not sure it's up for another summer..

Yeah we confirmed our refund for our airbeam today. We loved the concept as well but the tent that went with the concept was in my opinion not very good quality. It was the tent that leaked in our case not the airbeams.
Was very pleased with the way SK camping dealt with it but not so impressed with Vango for spending 15 years developing the concept and pairing it with such a low quality tent. Personally I would rather of paid £200 more for the airbeam for a better quality tent. It still would have been a lot cheaper than the wonderful karsten inflatable tents which are amazing but too expensive for the average person.
We are now sticking with our trusty Montana 6 until next year. My advice if you have an airbeam, test it now with a hosepipe just in case you have a defective one.
We too got a refund yesterday for our Vango airbeam 800 again it wasn't the beams it was the actual tent that was leaking around the windows toggles especially and at the back by the bedrooms, really sad to return our tent but think we made a good decision, we purchased our tent from Yeomans who refunded us with no problem. Hopefully they will improve this tent in the near future, because its a great concept overall. We are sticking to our Wolf Lake 7 tent very reliable, never leaks.
We also brought the tent from Yeomans Hamster2 but we had to wait while they sent it for testing and then when we went to their tent displays, the chap there said 'I would just have refunded you & not sent it back for testing' how strange that they have different views on returns!! It got sorted it the end & thats what counts.
The only good Airbeams seem to be the 600 but there must be some 800 that are good uns out there somewhere??!!

We finally have our Marista 700, instead of getting a full refund on the Airbeam we agreed a price with Yeomans for the Marista, full package it should have been with them by the Saturday16th July so a 2 week wait, we could cope with that! Anyway it didn't arrive and I found out by having to phone them again that they didn't even have any in the warehouse so would probably be in for a long wait, so over we went and got a full refund, they had my money long enough..
The good news is I found it on the net with Outdoor World Direct, very helpful, ordered it by phone on Monday, they phoned me yesterday to check if I would be happy with green tent/carpet as they had no blue carpets left and it was delivered today and it was cheaper then the deal we originally had.
Camping locally on sat to test & check over properly, whoopeee
