Hello
We went away this weekend for the first time with our Gelert horizon 6 the 2011 version which has a little eyelid above the entrance of one of the doors (well that's what Gelert call it) We put the rod in as shown in the diagram but when we come to attach it to the brass eyelets either side of the entrance it was extremely tight and even though I know it should be tight I found that the fly screen stitching on the entrance was stretching and couldn't help feeling that this was far too tight. I have spoken to Gelert who really was next to useless so can anyone tell me have they had any similar experiences with the 2011 version or am I doing something wrong? Any pictures of how it should be fitted would be appreciated.

I think most eyelids seem to put some part of the door under tension. We ended up cutting a bit off the pole on one of our tents (not a Gelert) as it was stopping the zip opening properly

Everything has been said before, but since nobody ever listens we have to keep going back and saying it all over again and again and again
Mines not a 2011 model but on first outing ours was extremely hard to put up, the tent seemed too small for the poles. However after a good soaking with the hosepipe checking for leaks it definitely became easier - why I do not know but it did!
Hope your poles are ok, mine were rubbish, had a number split, but the tent quality's good.
