They're both lovely tents but I need to keep the cost down if possible. Going to take OH to a tent display and see if he is comfortable with an Icarus - have noticed some sites say its 200cm height and others say less so no idea what it really is. Failing that, maybe a Gobi 4, can't find anything else really.

hi pally,we have an icarus 600 dxl available only at outdoormegastore its huge,the living space is nearly 4m sqaure and the bedroom can be one or two rooms.we use it as one with a king sized airbed long ways.height is good in bedrooms also.hope this helps.

We got an Outwell Oakland XL last year, its brill. Love the space in the living area and the large windows. Has a mesh door and a side door too. The bedrooms are split into a 3 berth and 2 berth or you can take out the seperator and have it as one. I do think tents are a personal choice though and you need to have a good look at then on display first and check reviews.
