I really should've listened to you all.......
Well, hoorah I finally went on an impromptu 1st overnight camp with the Wynnster Osprey 4, but good grief, it's so heavy to carry and thank goodness for my friends help in erecting the tent with (for?) me!
So....... ,can I please ask you all again (as my old post has long gone and I cannot find it anywhere).....
"What LIGHTWEIGHT, EASY TO SOLO PITCH, 2 separate bedrooms(4 berth for 2 of us), sig, living space, fits into a Panda, tent would you recommend please?" under £100
Had a ball though on my 1st 1 night only camp!

One of the Quechua popups (though due to disk size and velcroed in groundsheet, might not be ideal) or perhaps a teepee (though the cheaper ones dont have inner tent bedrooms to my knowledge.)

Theres also a Vango model that some people have commented upon recently that is easy to pitch solo... though the model escapes me at the moment!

Anyway, more suggestions and comments are bound to happen along soon.

I think the Vango one you are thinking about might be the Vango Icarus. It is the one that I was recommended as easy to set up alone and it comes in various sizes too.

If you can find one a Vango Kairos or Litchfield Findhorn should be an easy pitch then theres the Vango Icarus

I am also looking for a 4 berth, 2 bedroom lightweight tent for my daughter and her 12 year old son - who refuses to share a room with his Mom, so the Vango Icarus is no use!  It needs to be lightweight as she only has a Ford Fiesta.  Any suggestions please?

I'm sure the Icarus has 2 bedrooms. It's jsut they're side by side - is that no use?

What about a frame tent? They are quite easy to pitch. Some can take up a bit of space in the car though.

Easy Camp Licata 400
Large bedroom pod which can be divided, spacious living area, SIG, standing height throughout, massive windows let in loads of light, very quick and easy to pitch, 15kg weight, small pack size (fits in my Mini boot), less than £90

Have a look at it here:
http://www.outdooraction.co.uk/cgi-bin/sh000002.pl?REFPAGE=http%3a%2f%2fwww%2eoutdooraction%2eco%2euk%2facatalog%2fTENTS%2ehtml&WD=licata%20400&SHOP=%20&PN=Easy_Camp_Licata_400__2010_%2ehtml%23a1405#a1405

I can pitch it solo in about 15 minutes (I'm a short, fat, unfit mum of 3) and ours has withstood some torrential wind and rain without a leak of split pole in sight - a lot of good quality tent for the money.

I'm selling mine if you're interested!!!! (apparently I don't need 7 tents and need to downsize!)

Tunnel tents are a lot easier to pitch solo than dome tents. The Licata and Icarus would both fall into this catagory.
