Hi,
Bought the Georgia XL Tent a few weeks ago and ventured out in it for a few days.
Can anyone tell me if I did something wrong (I followed the instructions in the bag) but the outer tent seemed short by about 2-3 inches in some parts round the tent, I just wondered if it was something I did wrong.

We had a Georgia XL a few years ago, I'm assuming the site was level. The outer fly won't go all the way down to the ground. Do you have any pictures? I don't think it sounds as if you did anything wrong though. It may be that the site was slightly uneven. I do remember having to attach all those toggles between the fly and the inner though that was a pain!

Thanks for that, yeah it was a bit lumpy but not too bad. I am in the middle of putting up a few pics of the tent in my gallery if you could have a look that would be great also do you know how to attatch the ground sheet for the porch to the tent I know there was toggles but it was still really baggy and what are the zip bits for??

If it's two short zips at the door, then it's so you can unzip it during the day to remove the trip hazard

I wouldnt worry too much about it most of the time it wont reach the ground except around the front porch

Thanks Guys, I am not planning on going anywhere that will have too much rain so as you say I am not going to be too bothered about it

As I mentioned before do you know where I can get the carpet to match this tent? I have looked on the outwell site but they havent got it

Trouble is this tent was discontinued a while ago so your best bet for a carpet is Ebay. You could have a look at the Hi Gear Sahara to see if thats about tha same size. Another way is to use a breathable groundsheet cut to size.
