hello! New member, so I'm sorry for leaping straight in with a question, but - if I get a Bell Tent company inner tent, will it be compatible with a Soulpad, assuming the tent and inner sizes are the same? They're not as precision-engineered as most tent add-ons, and presumably one hanging loop in a bell tent is as good as another for hanging an inner tent? Or am I wrong? :-)

Well I hope so Silverleaf, as I have a bid on one at the mo, and I have a Soulpad. I think that, as you say, they are all pretty much the same inside, so unless the connectors are completely different, I don't see why they wouldn't be compatable.

Welcome to UKCS by the way

Tracey

Thanks, Tracey! I know that the Bell Tent Co say that their inners are only compatible with their own tents, but I can't see why that would be. Thought I'd ask...

Thanks for the welcome! This is a great forum - so much helpful information!

I have a soulpad 5mtr bell with a belltentuk inner.

My tent had no fittings for an inner, so I used the brailing ties with no probpems. I had to make my own fitting for holding the top of the inner up, but as simple as a piece of string round the pole, unless you want to complicate things further.

I also have a 4mtr ex army bell, with that I sewed small nylon rings to the side walls just under the eaves so no water leeking problems. This was to attach a canvas and cast inner.   Nearly forgot, HI and welcome to the forum

Canvas tent, paraffin light, petrol stove. Heaven
I'd rather be kayaking.
Spent up, not pent up, just had my new tent up.
