I've a Studland 8 classic and although I've not camped properly in it, I've weathered it and it remained totally watertight under pressure from the hose. I'm taking it to France for its first proper outing in a couple of weeks and will report back on its performance.
I've got the Holkham 6 (Filey 6 Classic) polycotton tent. It's fantastic, great build quality and has put up with heavy rain very well so I'm sure the Studland would be up to the same standards.
Kampa are getting an excellent reputation for the quality of their tents so you should have no worries
By the way turn you CAPS LOCK OFF plz

We have the Kampa Polzeath, the previous version of this tent. We had it as a replacement for 3 faulty Royal Winnepeg tents. The polycotton is a similar thickness, the tent is far easier to erect, the groundsheet is thinner (not sure if this was changed on new version), but we prefer as we leave attached & is zipped in even in annex. We encountered a dreadful storm in April this year, and the tent survived well until we took it down incorrectly & it filled with wind whilst partially pegged. It flew with the poles in & four got damaged. I phoned Kampa and for a small fee they sent out new poles in a couple of days. I would definitely buy from them again.
I drove from Worcester to Cross Camping in Cambridgeshire! I needed a replacement tent quickly for our main holiday last year. I wanted to see if I was happy with the Kampa & needed time to put it up & down before we went away 3 days later! I was very happy to see there were no manufacturing faults.
We find the annex extremely useful for the toilet & hanging rail for coats.
Also since having surgery on my neck, we have the double pod with no divide and my son has the single pod on the right & daughter the other pod at the front of the tent. It means we all have space at the side of our beds to get in & out, I even have a bedside table now!
I have the polzeath which is basically the same only difference is the fancy green internal zips. Have used this tent on numerous occasions, I can only say" what a tent " . Don't have any worries , this tent is top speck. Check out the tent review section. One of the great extras is the front extension , it makes such a difference on those wet nights.....
They have it on display in Jackson of old arley in coventry! reb3 you could have saved yourself a journey! Jo+rich it maybe worth looking at Kampa website to find a stockist incase there is one more local but its only a hour + half from Manchester on the outside!

Thanks owennicki, as far as I am aware they didn't have it available last August when I bought mine I have noticed there are a lot more retailers selling Kampa this year.
