Hi, I'm looking at the Outwell Maryland XL to replace our much loved Royal Biaritz (fantastic tent, but inner tent pitch first). We need a tent with plenty  of space, for a family of 4 and  2 very large dogs. Just wandering what those of you with experience of the Maryland think, is it too big? We usually camp for 3-4 days at a time,  always it seems in the rain, so good size porch for wet dogs during the day is a must.

On my list is also  the Outwell Hartford XL and the Royal Pescara 8. I've found the reviews and comments here really helpful, but now I'm confused by the choice & quality of tents available.......... can anyone offer some advice, any comments or suggestions would be really appreciated. Thanks in advance

Don't forget to leave a review of all tents you've used, for a chance to win fantastic prizes

New! Please upload a photo of your tent to the Tent Showcase!

You should have a look at the Kampa Polzeath ( now Studland Classic ) bought one this year and must admit , it blows me away. Having owned quite a few family tents ,I have found this one to out strip any off them. The quality, size, thoughtfulness in design features and best of all the price. Had the Hartford but Gelert Zenith better . Don't know much about Maryland but looks good. Oh and by the way the Kampa is poly- cotton what more can I say................
