I am new to camping and am on the verge of buying this tent. For me the canopy makes the tent but looking through brochures alot of the pitch sizes I have been coming across are 6mx6m. I am not sure on the size of this tent but im guessing + canopy its got to be around 8m. Has anyone else had problems finding a site that takes this size tent?

The icarus 600 plus canopy is 7m 20cm long so depends if the sites you want to use have restrictions over 7m. Even then, it's not a whole lot bigger, I'd just squish it in

I must admit we havent come across many if any pitches that small. A lot of campsites dont actually have marked pitches plus all the ones we have visited with marked pitches tend to be of various sizes to cater for different size tents. If you use EHU pitches these tend to be long and thin to cater for motor homes, caravans etc. We have an Outwell Vermont L which is 770cm long and have never been refused a pitch. Its always advisable to book as early as possible though

We have the 600 plus canopy,and have never had any trouble pitching it anywhere.We tend to use Haven sites a lot when we have take the Grand Son and have never had any problems.

Thanks for your replies. The man in the shop said there shouldnt be any problems but I didnt know if he was just trying to make the sale!

We bought the 600 plus front enclosed canopythis year and love it. SO far had long weekends away with and without the canpopy (thru choice not a campsite restriction). Havent had any size issues to date... I am veyr happy with my tent choice!
