We've stayed away from looking at new tents for a while, we have 3 ATM one of which is the Icarus 600. When we bought ours it became a real issue that there was no fly mesh on teh main door.
Guess what, we stopped at Yeomans today and the new Icarus has a fly screen on the main door!
Anyone want a hardly used 2010 Icarus? It looks like I'm gonna need some £££ to part fund a new Icarus 600!
------------- Coming soon to a campsite near you, Jake, Mrs Jake, Little legs, Bosdog the Doodle and Olly the Cavachon.
2014:
August: Scarborough, High Yedmandale. Not tenting though, using one of their lovely holiday homes!
Don't forget to leave a review of all tents you've used, for a chance to win fantastic prizes
regardless of what you buy...it will be replaced by something better next week/month/year
just enjoy what you have now (I wish I hadn't gotten rid of my 600, but wanted an enclosed porch..which they now do of course!!) until you really really need to change...unless you are loaded..in which case give me your 600 for free and buy yourself a nice shiny new one :)
------------- Half Empty or Half Full, it doesn't matter..it simply means there is room for more beer in your glass!!
Have a think about making your own flyscreen. Several people have done this inc myself, using voile curtain - mozzie net - fine greenhouse shading etc etc. Make two panels to overlap in centre of doorway as entry/exit point. Saves unfastening a side each time you go in/out. Attach to perimeter of doorway with velcro. If using velcro prob best to stitch rather than stick, then seam sealant on stitching lines. I just use clothes pegs to hold mine onto tent tho = simples.
