Off to Billing Aquadrome Saturday for 1 night to see how we get on with camping.
We have a gelert vector 8 which I pitched 2 weeks ago and that seemed fine, however I also have a canopy which I tried to pitch in my garden on Sunday without the tent, Guy ropes kept coming loose and it would not stand up on its own, will it be easier with the tent up or am I doing something wrong.

put the poles through the canopy ring and pin them ,put next to tent ,throw over the head tail over the roof and guy or strap ,then pull the canopy out away from the tent ,so it opens fully then guy the front ,then tension it properly
We also have this canopy, when we used it for the 1st time within half hour the back guy line snapped off, we took it back and was told that it was happening with most of this canopy (poor manufacturing fault). The store offered us either a replacement (saying it may happen again) or a repair with stronger seams. We decided on the repair. Hope you have better luck with yours.

Only joking I hope.
