We have a gelert horizon 8 which we are really happy with but when pitching we always have immense trouble connecting the 2nd and 4th poles into the pins as it is so so tight. Any one else have this?

Hi
Sometimes they are not the easiest of things to get in. Make sure any adjusting sraps are fully loosened off and the pole sleeve fabric isnt bunched up anywhere. We used to find it is easier to put the pins in the pole ends while the tent is flat on the ground as there is less tension and weight on the poles rather than trying to put them in while lifting the tent up. Also having the doors open while lifting the tent lets air in and makes it easier but close them before pegging out
Hope this helps a bit

We find its easier to get the second pins in if the poles are raised up about 45 degrees. Definitely much harder if you try to pin them while the poles are upright.
