Hello this is my first post on the site, i have been using it for a while but i have just been an observor until now :)
After buying a HiGear Atikama last year and having a nightmare with it breaking on it's first use i have decded to buy a Blackrock 5 which seems much more suitable. I just have a quick question i have noticed the side door has holes for poles to turn it into a small canopy. Should these have been included with the tent? if they are bought seperate could anyone point me in the right direction?
Also what does everyone make of the tent? it is for me and the fiancee to use aged 24 and 22 and we are new to camping so we did not want to spend an arm and a leg however for the price it seemed really good.
Here is a picture of the door(blowing in the wind lol) what i assumed would have poled with it.

Hi and welcome
You have to remember HiGear tents are built to a price so I wouldnt expect the poles to be included having said that our Outwell Nevada M didnt come with the poles either. Just buy a pair of Vango King poles for it

Everything has been said before, but since nobody ever listens we have to keep going back and saying it all over again and again and again
Yes i did think that but just wanted to clarify as i have just bought the tent and if it should had them i would of popped back to GO-Outdoors. I think i will buy a set of the Vango poles thankyou but i'm tempted to just buy the proper canopy/porch as it is only £50
All of the tents I have ever purchases (admittedly not many) have always come with the canopy poles. That includes the cheap as chips Pro Action ones from Argos and the Hi-Gear Mojave I have.
Best bet OP is go back into G.O. if its local, open another bag up and see if any canopy poles in others... or hopefully another owner of the same tent can advise on here.
