I've got a lovely old canvas tent, a lichfield vermont 4, but it now has 2 bent and almost broken poles (the hollow metal type, not the new fangly bendy type), it's the intersection parts that have bent.
I've googled it and come up with nothing in terms of replacement parts.
So what i may do is bend them back to the right angle and gaffer tape a strong bit of metal to it.
But my query is.... is there a better way of doing it ?.....
Thanks

I have the same problem with my frame tent. The poles are aluminium and therefore a bit soft. I don't think you'll get a new spare part but if you looked for a wrecked Lichfield tent on eBay and salvage the parts. In the meantime you can get your own poles straightened out enough to use the tent.
If you have a vice you can straighten them out fairly easily. It's preferable to insert a piece of bar to stop you from flattening the metal.
On a recent holiday I damaged my frame tent poles by trying to get it pitched in a storm. I had a back up pop up tent fir that night and the following morning took the damaged poles to a local garage. The mechanics had a vice and repaired them, not completely straight but better than what they were and enough to get it pitched. I then continued my fortnights holiday on comfort.

Straightening them out isn't the problem. One of them has started to split and the other will probably split when i bend it back. Taking them to someone who can weld is an option.
