We have just returned from our last camp for this year and have decided we need a new tent, there is nothing wrong with our current one (We have a Vango Colorado 600 DLX which we have been very happy with) but we would like a sew in groundsheet and more windows.

We purchased a smaller weekend tent earlier this year and with the with help from members on here, it helped us decide which one, and I am calling for help again.

There are 4 of us, me, OH and 2 girls, 6 and 8.  We have a Vango Icarus for weekends and like the fact that the bedroom area is head height and you can seperate into 2 rooms.

We recently saw an Outwell Bear Lake 6 which was fantastic and ideally would like one but I'm afraid the cost is out of our price range.

Can anyone recommend a nylon tent with similar sizes and design as the BL6. Doesn't have to be an Outwell, any make, I saw a Vango online which was very similar but can't remember which one and can't find it again.

The important things are: SIG, 2 bedrooms, large living area, windows (colorado only had 2)

Thanks all :-)

The Outwell Florida is quite similar to the Bear Lake. Prices do vary and there are some deals around with Go price matches so you might find a Bear Lake within reach?

I love the outwell tenesee! Its got huge panoramic windows and i like the layout!

My daughter says the panoramic windows make it look like a conservatory on a tent.

Some good package deals around on these also!

How about the Kampa Croyde or Kampa Filey?

I just got a Kampa Holkham and I am more than happy with it - I'm fact i think I have found my forever tent (until it wears out).

The Kampa filey is the nylon version of mine - lovely and spacious with high flats walls 2 generous bedrooms. all with a smaller footprint than you would imagine. The bear lake was what I thought I wanted - then i saw the holkham. The 2 bedrooms are the same size - rather than a large and a small one.

We have the high gear corado 4, it's a fab tent the best one we have had! it's got loads of very big windows and also comes with a built in front canopy that if fab to cook in when it's raining.

We realy do love this tent and are so happy with it and to top it off the price is fab for what you get.
