We are considering buying our son teenage son a tent. It will be used for when he comes away with us and also for when he may go away with his pals. I would prefere a SIG and it doesnt need to be any more then a 3 man tent. A small porch way would be nice. He's seen one he likes....sunncamp evolution 300....£100...is this a good price ( or does anyone know of anywhere selling it cheaper??!!) Or can anyone else reccomend any other tent? We dont have many tent shops around where we live, so going somewhere is a little difficult, without having to travel miles and miles!
Many thanks in advance x

The sunncamp maybe a bit heavy - but it depends what he is going to use it for.
I would look out for one which is D of E recommended as it will be suitable for the needs of teenagers and suitable for backpacking. Look for the logo...

hi 100 pound seems to much to pay especially at the moment with all the end of season sales going on heres afew ideas.... vango eos 350 three birth 80 pounds...hi gear fusion 3 50 pounds... hi gear atom 3 60 pounds and the freedom trail airedale 4 birth 60 pounds all these are from go outdoors nearest to you is york i think depending on were you are in east yorks...hope this helps
thanks guys! I'll take a look at the go outdoors. Not too keen on the pop up tent idea's as i've heared quite a few reports of people getting quite wet inside them, due to condensation or heavy rain poor etc. Plus, i think i would rather have something that packs away quite small. I thought that £100 seemed quite expensive too, not that i would pay that!! I like a good bargain, so i'll keep an eye out!!
many thanks again! x

Just a comment in support of the pop-ups. My GS has one which he uses when away. He has slept in it through a few downpours and has not got wet once. Only time I've seen water in it was when he forgot to zip up the front door. It's very easy to put away and light to carry. Also has a sig.
Thats other cheap pop ups that dont come close to Quechuas usually. My last 2 tents have been quechua 4 man pop ups with the living space, never had condensation or leaks.

Another thumbs up for the Quechas from me. Cracking little tents for the money, and a doddle to put up. Quality is fab, as people have stated. I used to have a 4 man popup and loved it
