We've recently returned from our first week camping (which we totally loved) and had a few questions...

Is it usual for moisture (from dew) to leak through the walls of the tent onto the sleeping pods? Our tent is a Vango Tigris 600 and on the first two mornings a large patch on the front sleeping pod was wet in the morning. We took that pod down after day 2 but each morning the same patch on the tent was wet on the inside. Is this normal?

The zip on one side of the side extension door broke on the second day. I expect wear and tear on zips but for one to break on day two seems rather dire to me, do you think it's worth taking it back to the shop and asking them to sort out a repair?

Thanks.

You should get a repair or replacement as the zip is part of the tent,

and sooo glad you had a great time

The moisture is more than likely condensation, open vents at night to lessen this, some tents are bad fr it some are not so but most will get condensation at some point.

Take the extension back and get a replacement, get that out and check the quality before taking it away.

Hi Catchingflies and welcome.

We have the Vango Tigris 400 as a weekend tent and I was amazed at the amount of condensation in the mornings, yet we don't get as much on the Gelert - not sure why so I guess it could be the fact that some are worse than others.
