Back to the OP, there's never a good time! It's like buying a computer or a mobile phone, when you've made your purchase another one comes along that is slightly better!
If there's nothing available now that meets your requirements maybe you'd be better to save you money and wait and see what comes out in January. What are your requirements by the way, someone here might have come across your perfect tent!
